I recently fell in love and this amazing connection fell in my lap out of nowhere and I'm so grateful. She has been inspiring some new paintings and songs as well. Winter time has been inspiring too as grim and cold as it has been. I always love diving into a new series of paintings while hibernating here in Cleveland. Working on a body of work for a solo show titled "SHAPESHIFTER" at Gallery 215 at 78th Street Studios Opening October 16th.
Definitely color schemes get me amped up about a new painting idea or series. Feelings for sure, connections and certain locations or experiences always influence new ideas. Traveling to new places for sure and going on hikes in the metro parks.
What is something people might not know about you as an artist?
I also make Hip-Hop music and have 2 albums out. One titled RECLINER and one titled Fries And A Salad. I'm working on a new project right now.
What has been the most rewarding part of your creative journey so far?
It's taken awhile to get to where I'm at creatively and I'm always growing and leveling up each year. I've been so grateful to get to do a lot of murals around the city and get more deeply connected to the community through that work and my art. That will continue to be so rewarding for me.
